Bringing to Light: Changes in the Tower Lighting World
The FAA compliance rules for tower obstruction lighting continue to be updated. Bear Poth will review some of the lesser-known changes in these rules. LEDs have been around for many years; however, in the tower lighting world their deployment is creating big changes. In addition, the traditional practice of procurement, maintenance, and monitoring has a new model: Tower Lighting as a Service®. LumenServe℠ is at the forefront of this new approach to tower lighting and Poth will explore its advantages and implications. LumenServe℠ has recently become a Sustaining Member with the SBE.
Poth is the founding President and CEO of LumenServe℠, Inc. and has an extensive entrepreneurial and operations background in founding and growing numerous telecommunications and technology-based companies during a 25+ year professional career. He received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Business Administration from The University of Texas.
